An unofficial summary of facts (addresses, types, units, scaling) from the maker's manual. Not affiliated with the maker; values can differ by firmware or model. Always check the device manual before writing (run commands, settings).
Default communication
| Protocol | Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP |
|---|---|
| Baud (factory) | 38400 bps — options: 9600, 19200, 38400 |
| Data · parity · stop | 8 · None · 1 |
| Slave ID (factory) | 1 (1~247) |
| Max per request | 124 registers |
| Manual address style | 40001/30001 style (wire address + 1, first digit = table) |
- Map gives both REGISTER (30001/40001 style) and ADDRESS (0-based) columns; address here is the ADDRESS column (map p.1, p.6). E.g. 30001 ↔ 0, 40038 ↔ 37, coil 1 ↔ 0 (map p.15 frame examples).
- Defaults: unit 1, 38400 bps (map p.6 41008/41009, user manual p.33 Table 6). Only no parity supported, 1 start + 8 data + 1 stop (map p.12).
- Word order: Swap NO = high word first (ABCD, 100.0 → 42 C8 00 00); Swap YES = word-swapped (CDAB, 00 00 42 C8) (user manual p.42). Factory default conflicts: map p.6 (41009) says 1 (NO), user manual p.33/p.42 says YES (On). So order is left out — read 31008 high byte (1 = off, 2 = on) or check the 'S' setting.
- Ethernet (TCP) has a separate 'TCP SWAP' setting (default On) (user manual p.33, map p.6 41022). TCP port number is not stated.
- Up to 124 registers per read (03h/04h), contiguous only (map p.16).
Registers (37)
«Wire» is the 0-based address in the request frame (PortDock's «0-based» notation). Value = raw × scale. Table: HR holding register, IR input register, CO coil, DI discrete input. Function codes in hex.

Notes
- Measurements are Float32 (F004) in engineering units after PT/CT ratio; note units are W, var, VA, Wh (not k-).
- Per-phase power/PF, demand etc. are EX model only (map Remark column).
- The map has no function-code column; FC per table (3xxxx = FC04, 4xxxx = FC03, F001 resets = FC05 ON only) follows the frame examples (map p.15-16) and F001 (p.7).
- Settings at 31001-31010 and 41001-41023 are marked R only (map p.6); writing settings over Modbus is not described.
Read it with PortDock
- Install the free PortDock Modbus Master and connect with the device's settings.
- On the table toolbar, «Device profile…» → pick this device → «Load». Polling tables, names, types and the Slave ID are filled in (optionally the serial settings too).
- Names carry the unit and scale (e.g. «×0.01 Hz»). Values on screen are raw — multiply by the scale.
- To test your program without the device, PortDock Modbus Slave's «Emulate device…» serves the same map with example values.
