An unofficial summary of facts (addresses, types, units, scaling) from the maker's manual. Not affiliated with the maker; values can differ by firmware or model. Always check the device manual before writing (run commands, settings).
Default communication
| Protocol | Modbus RTU |
|---|---|
| Baud (factory) | 9600 bps — options: 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 76800, 115200 |
| Data · parity · stop | 8 · None · 1 |
| Slave ID (factory) | 1 (1~247) |
| 32-bit order | ABCD |
| Max per request | 100 registers |
| Manual address style | Wire address as is (0-based) |
- Addressing: the «Modbus address» in the 8-9 data lists is the frame address. The examples (8-11 to 8-21) describe it as «register number = address + 1»: 01 01 00 02 00 0C 9D CF (coils from DI1 0002h), 01 05 00 00 FF 00 8C 3A (FW 0000h), 01 06 12 16 13 88 60 20 (C99 low word 1216h ← 50.00 Hz), 01 0F 00 02 00 0C 02 17 00 EB A2, 01 10 11 02 00 02 04 00 00 03 E8 B2 98 (F07 1102h/1103h ← 10.00 s), 01 17 52 44 00 02 12 15 00 02 04 00 00 13 88 E8 67 (read W03, write C99), Enter 08 06 08 FF 00 01 7A C3. The replies 01 01 02 08 05 7E 3F, 01 03 14 … F9 14, 01 0F 00 02 00 0C F4 0E, 01 10 11 02 00 02 E5 34 and 01 17 04 00 00 13 88 F4 71 all have CRCs matching calculation.
- Typo in the manual FC03 example (8-12): the start address is written 0011h (01 03 00 11 00 0A), but its CRC C4 08 is calculated for 0010h (0011h gives 95 C8). The reply contents (alarm code, status, 12.34 Hz, 3.00 A, 284.0 V) match the data list layout from 0011h, so 0011h is used.
- Defaults (8-5 to 8-6): station y11 = 1 (1-255), baud y14 = 2 (9600 bps), parity y16 = 3 (none, 1 stop), 8 data bits. To run over communication set F02 (or E102) = 4; for frequency F01 (or C30) = 14. Function codes 01, 03, 05, 06, 08, 0F, 10 and 17h; up to 100 registers for 03h and 10h, 16 each for 17h (8-8). Built-in 110 Ω terminator (SW6, 8-4).
Registers (66)
«Wire» is the 0-based address in the request frame (PortDock's «0-based» notation). Value = raw × scale. Table: HR holding register, IR input register, CO coil, DI discrete input. Function codes in hex.
Swipe the table sideways — the first column (manual address) stays put.

Notes
- Two-word values put the high word at the lower address (big endian). Writing only the low word changes only the low word; writing only the high word gives exception 02 (8-25). Changing H396 (endian selection) changes the order.
- Values written over communication are not saved to EEPROM (y97 default 1). To keep them, write 1 to the Enter command (register number 0900h = address 08FFh) (8-21).
- Left out: items on pages where the name and format columns are shifted (8-48, 8-56, 8-74, 8-78, 8-80) that could not be matched by an example or the chapter 4 list; W71 (DC voltage in the data list but «do not use» in the chapter 4 monitor list); y18 and y19 (format column not certain). Page numbers are printed pages (chapter 8 PDF = 650 + page, chapter 4 PDF = 166 + page).
Read it with PortDock
- Install the free PortDock Modbus Master and connect with the device's settings.
- On the table toolbar, «Device profile…» → pick this device → «Load». Polling tables, names, types and the Slave ID are filled in (optionally the serial settings too).
- Names carry the unit and scale (e.g. «×0.01 Hz»). Values on screen are raw — multiply by the scale.
- To test your program without the device, PortDock Modbus Slave's «Emulate device…» serves the same map with example values.
