An unofficial summary of facts (addresses, types, units, scaling) from the maker's manual. Not affiliated with the maker; values can differ by firmware or model. Always check the device manual before writing (run commands, settings).
Default communication
| Protocol | Modbus RTU |
|---|---|
| Baud (factory) | 9600 bps — options: 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 76800, 115200 |
| Data · parity · stop | 8 · None · 1 |
| Slave ID (factory) | 1 (1~247) |
| 32-bit order | ABCD |
| Max per request | 16 registers |
| Manual address style | 1-based numbers (wire address + 1) |
- Addressing: coil and register numbers in the manual are 1-based and «the address on the Modbus line is 1 less than the number» (notes, pp.302-309). Examples: read coils (p.302) 08 01 00 06 00 05 1C 91 → coils from 0007h (input [1]); write coil (p.304) 08 05 00 00 FF 00 8C A3 → coil 0001h (run command); read registers (p.303) 01 03 00 11 00 06 95 CD → from 0012h (fault monitor 1 factor); FC17 (p.309) 01 17 10 00 00 02 00 00 00 02 04 00 00 13 88 F4 86 → read 1001h (d001), write 5000 to 0001h (F001). CRCs of these frames and of the coil read response (08 01 01 05 92 17), write coils (08 0F 00 06 00 05 02 17 00 83 EA, response ... 75 50) and FC17 response (01 17 04 00 00 13 88 F4 71) match calculation. The register read response CRC is printed AF 6D but computes to B4 7A; this does not affect addressing.
- Function codes 01h, 03h, 05h, 06h, 08h, 0Fh, 10h and 17h (read/write). Up to 16 registers or 32 coils per message (p.299). No 02h/04h; read-only status is read as coils (01h).
- Defaults: C071 05 = 9600 bps, C072 station 1, C074 00 = no parity, C075 1 = 1 stop bit (p.366). After changing, cycle power or toggle the RS terminal (p.297). The 200 Ω termination is set by DIP switch (p.296).
- 32-bit values have the (high) number first and the (low) number next, i.e. high word first (ABCD). P400 (big/little endian) applies to free mapping (P200 = 01).
Registers (80)
«Wire» is the 0-based address in the request frame (PortDock's «0-based» notation). Value = raw × scale. Table: HR holding register, IR input register, CO coil, DI discrete input. Function codes in hex.
Swipe the table sideways — the first column (manual address) stays put.

Notes
- Page numbers are printed pages (PDF page = printed + 26).
- To run and set frequency by communication set A002 = 03 and A001 = 03 (p.297).
- Fault monitor frequency (0014h/0015h) and current (0016h) are not included: the table (p.319) gives 32-bit 0.01 Hz and 0.01 A, but the read example in the same manual (p.303) shows 0014h = 0063h as 9.9 Hz (0.1 Hz units, in the high word) and 0016h = 001Eh as 3.0 A (0.1 A units). Frequency and current of trips 2-6 are left out for the same reason.
- Acceleration time 1 (F002) is not included: the table (p.324) gives 1103h/1104h but the FC10 example (p.308) writes «1014h/1015h» (frame 10 13). Multi-speed 0 (A020) is also left out: the table (p.324) gives 1216h/1217h at 0.01 Hz but the FC06 example (p.305) says «1029h» at 0.1 Hz. Output current 1003h (d002) is a single 16-bit register with a range of 0-999900, so it is left out.
- Values written by communication are in RAM only. To keep them write 1 to 0900h (ENTER), or write 1 to 0902h just before a write (p.311).
Read it with PortDock
- Install the free PortDock Modbus Master and connect with the device's settings.
- On the table toolbar, «Device profile…» → pick this device → «Load». Polling tables, names, types and the Slave ID are filled in (optionally the serial settings too).
- Names carry the unit and scale (e.g. «×0.01 Hz»). Values on screen are raw — multiply by the scale.
- To test your program without the device, PortDock Modbus Slave's «Emulate device…» serves the same map with example values.
