An unofficial summary of facts (addresses, types, units, scaling) from the maker's manual. Not affiliated with the maker; values can differ by firmware or model. Always check the device manual before writing (run commands, settings).
Default communication
| Protocol | Modbus RTU |
|---|---|
| Data · parity · stop | 8 · — · — |
| Max per request | 50 registers |
| Manual address style | Wire address as is (0-based) |
- Addressing: the manual's CRC example (pp.3-21-3-22) reads 20 words from function code P02 (group P = 03h, number 02h) at station 1 with 01 03 03 02 00 14 E4 41. Register address = group code × 256 + number (0-based, Table 3.2 p.3-4). The CRC matches calculation.
- y04 baud 2400/4800/9600/19200/38400 bps (no 38400 on Mini); y06 parity 0 none (2 stop bits), 1 even, 2 odd (1 stop bit), 3 none (1 stop bit, Multi/MEGA only); Modbus RTU is fixed at 8 bits (p.2-23). Set y10 = 0 for Modbus RTU (p.2-24). Factory settings are not in this manual and are left empty.
- FC03 reads up to 50 words (100 on MEGA) at a time. Unused function codes read as 0 without an error, and one read does not cross a group (p.3-4). Writes use FC06 and FC16 (50 words, 100 on MEGA) (p.3-5).
Registers (46)
«Wire» is the 0-based address in the request frame (PortDock's «0-based» notation). Value = raw × scale. Table: HR holding register, IR input register, CO coil, DI discrete input. Function codes in hex.
Swipe the table sideways — the first column (manual address) stays put.

Notes
- Only S and M codes supported by all four series (○ in the tables) are included. Codes supported by only some series (torque, motor temperature, internal air temperature, load factor and so on) are left out. M38 (output voltage on alarm) is left out because Table 5.10 gives a 1.0 step while its format [3] is 0.1, and M69 (inverter rated current) because its scale changes between 0.01 A and 0.1 A with capacity.
- Bit 6 of format [16] (operation status) is 0 (unused) in the bit diagram but TL (torque limiting, Multi/MEGA) in the table below it, so it is left out (p.5-51).
- To run the drive and give the frequency reference over communications, set H30 (link function) and y98/y99 to communications (pp.2-19-2-21). Reading (M codes) works as is.
Read it with PortDock
- Install the free PortDock Modbus Master and connect with the device's settings.
- On the table toolbar, «Device profile…» → pick this device → «Load». Polling tables, names, types and the Slave ID are filled in (optionally the serial settings too).
- Names carry the unit and scale (e.g. «×0.01 Hz»). Values on screen are raw — multiply by the scale.
- To test your program without the device, PortDock Modbus Slave's «Emulate device…» serves the same map with example values.
