An unofficial summary of facts (addresses, types, units, scaling) from the maker's manual. Not affiliated with the maker; values can differ by firmware or model. Always check the device manual before writing (run commands, settings).
Default communication
| Protocol | Modbus RTU |
|---|---|
| Baud (factory) | 4800 bps — options: 4800, 9600, 19200 |
| Data · parity · stop | 8 · None · 1 |
| Slave ID (factory) | 1 (1~32) |
| 32-bit order | ABCD |
| Manual address style | 1-based numbers (wire address + 1) |
- Addressing: coil and register numbers in the manual are 1-based, and each example notes «the start address is 1 smaller than the number» (pp.4-83 to 4-89). Examples: read coils (p.4-83) 08 01 00 06 00 05 1C 91 → coils from 0007h (multi-function input 1); read registers (pp.4-84 to 4-85) 01 03 00 11 00 06 95 CD → 0012h-0017h (trip monitor 1); write coil (p.4-86) 08 05 00 00 FF 00 8C A3 → coil 0001h (RUN command); FC06 (pp.4-86 to 4-87) 08 06 10 28 01 F4 0D 8C → 500 to 1029h (A020); FC10 (pp.4-88 to 4-89) 08 10 10 13 00 02 04 00 04 93 E0 7D 53 → 300000 to 1014h/1015h (F002). The CRCs of these frames, of the responses (08 01 01 05 92 17; 01 03 0C 00 03 00 00 00 63 00 00 00 1E 01 1C AF 6D; 08 0F 00 06 00 05 75 50; 08 10 10 13 00 02 B4 54) and of write coils (08 0F 00 06 00 05 02 17 00 83 EA) all match calculation.
- Function codes 01h, 03h, 05h, 06h, 08h, 0Fh and 10h; no 02h/04h, so read-only status is read as coils (01h). The function code table (p.4-81) limits 03h/10h to 4 registers (8 bytes), but the read example in the same manual (p.4-84) reads 6 (0Ch bytes), so maxRegisters is left empty; reading 4 or fewer is safe.
- Defaults: C070 02 = operator (03 for Modbus), C071 04 = 4800 bps, C072 station 1 (1-32), C074 00 = no parity, C075 1 = 1 stop bit, 8 data bits fixed (pp.4-77, 4-79). C07x cannot be changed through Modbus; set them on the operator and cycle power. Set the 485/OPE selector S7 to 485 (p.4-78). No built-in termination resistor.
- 32-bit values have the (MSB) number first and the (LSB) number next, i.e. high word first (ABCD). The FC10 example (p.4-89) also writes 0004h to 1014h and 93E0h to 1015h.
Registers (42)
«Wire» is the 0-based address in the request frame (PortDock's «0-based» notation). Value = raw × scale. Table: HR holding register, IR input register, CO coil, DI discrete input. Function codes in hex.
Swipe the table sideways — the first column (manual address) stays put.

Notes
- Page numbers are printed pages (in chapter 4, PDF page = xxx of 4-xxx + 85, e.g. p.4-92 = PDF 177).
- To run and set frequency by communication set A002 = 03 and A001 = 03 (pp.4-79, 4-86).
- Output current (d002, 1003h) and output voltage (d013, 100Ch) are not included: the communication table (pp.4-92 to 4-93) gives 0.1 % and 0.01 % units, while the monitor list in the same manual gives A and V.
- Trip factor (0012h) codes have no table in the communication section, so values are left empty; the example (p.4-85) reads 0003h as E03. Communication settings C070-C078 (1137h-113Fh) are marked «Do not change through ModBus» and are not included (p.4-104).
- Values written by communication are in RAM only. To keep them write any value to 0900h (Enter command, p.4-90).
Read it with PortDock
- Install the free PortDock Modbus Master and connect with the device's settings.
- On the table toolbar, «Device profile…» → pick this device → «Load». Polling tables, names, types and the Slave ID are filled in (optionally the serial settings too).
- Names carry the unit and scale (e.g. «×0.01 Hz»). Values on screen are raw — multiply by the scale.
- To test your program without the device, PortDock Modbus Slave's «Emulate device…» serves the same map with example values.
