An unofficial summary of facts (addresses, types, units, scaling) from the maker's manual. Not affiliated with the maker; values can differ by firmware or model. Always check the device manual before writing (run commands, settings).
Default communication
| Protocol | Modbus RTU |
|---|---|
| Data · parity · stop | 8 · — · — |
| Max per request | 50 registers |
| Manual address style | Wire address as is (0-based) |
- Addressing: the manual's CRC example (pp.3-22-3-23) reads 20 words from function code P02 (group P = 03h, number 02h) at station 1 with 01 03 03 02 00 14 E4 41. Wire address = group code × 256 + number (0-based, Table 3.2 p.3-5). The CRC matches calculation. The manual also writes «40000 + group × 256 + number» (J60 = 43388); unlike the usual PLC notation where 40001 is the first address, the value minus 40000 is the wire address (p.3-4).
- y04 baud 2400/4800/9600/19200/38400 bps; y06 parity 0 none (2 stop bits), 1 even, 2 odd, 3 none (1 stop bit); Modbus RTU is fixed at 8 bits (p.2-21). Set y10 (port 1) or y20 (port 2) = 0 for Modbus RTU (p.2-22). Factory settings are not in this manual and are left empty.
- FC03 reads up to 50 words at a time. Unused function codes read as 0 without an error, and one read does not cross a group (p.3-5).
Registers (55)
«Wire» is the 0-based address in the request frame (PortDock's «0-based» notation). Value = raw × scale. Table: HR holding register, IR input register, CO coil, DI discrete input. Function codes in hex.
Swipe the table sideways — the first column (manual address) stays put.

Notes
- Only S and M codes supported by both HVAC and AQUA whose meaning and unit are in the manual tables are included. M38 is left out (step 1.0 vs format [3] = 0.1), M47/M48 (life) because Table 5.10 (10 h) could not be matched with format [74], M69 (rated current) because its scale changes with capacity, and M53 because Table 5.11 calls it input terminal [C2] current while format Table 5.28 says voltage.
- Bit 6 of format [16] (operation status) is 0 (unused) in the bit diagram but TL (torque limiting) in the table below it, so it is left out (p.5-67).
- To run the drive and give the frequency reference over communications, set H30 (link function) and y98/y99 to communications (pp.2-17-2-19). Reading (M codes) works as is.
Read it with PortDock
- Install the free PortDock Modbus Master and connect with the device's settings.
- On the table toolbar, «Device profile…» → pick this device → «Load». Polling tables, names, types and the Slave ID are filled in (optionally the serial settings too).
- Names carry the unit and scale (e.g. «×0.01 Hz»). Values on screen are raw — multiply by the scale.
- To test your program without the device, PortDock Modbus Slave's «Emulate device…» serves the same map with example values.
