An unofficial summary of facts (addresses, types, units, scaling) from the maker's manual. Not affiliated with the maker; values can differ by firmware or model. Always check the device manual before writing (run commands, settings).
Default communication
| Protocol | Modbus RTU |
|---|---|
| Baud (factory) | 9600 bps — options: 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 76800, 115200 |
| Data · parity · stop | 8 · None · 1 |
| Slave ID (factory) | 31 (1~255) |
| Max per request | 16 registers |
| Manual address style | Wire address as is (0-based) |
- Addressing: the read example (p.714) sends slave 02, FC03, start 00 20, count 00 04, CRC 45 F0 to read from 0020H (drive status 1); the write example (p.715) sends FC10 start 00 01, 2 registers, writing 0001h (forward run) to 0001H and 1770h (60.00 Hz) to 0002H. Manual address = frame address. (The write example's CRC is printed as 63 39 but computes to 6D B7; this does not affect addressing.)
- Only function codes 03H (read, up to 16 registers), 08H (loopback) and 10H (write multiple) — no 06H (p.712, p.714).
- Defaults: H5-01 address 1F (31), range 0-FF (0 = no response); H5-02 3 = 9600 bps (0-8 = 1200-115200); H5-03 0 = no parity; 8 data bits and 1 stop bit fixed, RTU only (p.703, p.707). Cycle power after changes.
- Entries where the manual prints 'ov' as 'Drive Overheat Warning (ov)' (0021H bit 1, 002AH bit 6, fault code 0008H, etc.) are left out because the name and code disagree.
Registers (36)
«Wire» is the 0-based address in the request frame (PortDock's «0-based» notation). Value = raw × scale. Table: HR holding register, IR input register, CO coil, DI discrete input. Function codes in hex.
Swipe the table sideways — the first column (manual address) stays put.

Notes
- To run and set frequency by communication set b1-02 = 2 and b1-01 = 2. Depending on H5-11, parameter writes need an Enter command.
Read it with PortDock
- Install the free PortDock Modbus Master and connect with the device's settings.
- On the table toolbar, «Device profile…» → pick this device → «Load». Polling tables, names, types and the Slave ID are filled in (optionally the serial settings too).
- Names carry the unit and scale (e.g. «×0.01 Hz»). Values on screen are raw — multiply by the scale.
- To test your program without the device, PortDock Modbus Slave's «Emulate device…» serves the same map with example values.
